How heavy should a box be?

Keep any box under about 50 pounds — under 40 if you're lifting it yourself.

Heavy things go in small boxes (books, tools, tins); light, bulky things in large ones (pillows, lampshades).

If you can't lift it comfortably, neither can the crew all day.
