Privacy

Last updated 18 October 2026.

The short version. The Packed Rabbit needs no account. Everything you type, photograph or record about your move stays on your own device. We do not receive it, so we cannot read it, sell it, lose it or be made to hand it over. If you choose to get email updates, we receive your email address — and only that.

What we collect

Nothing about your move, ever. The app does not create an account and does not send your move to us. There is no analytics of any kind — not page views, not crash reports, not anonymous usage statistics.

Only if you choose:

Where your information lives

Inside your own browser's storage on the device you installed it on, including your box inventory and photographs, furniture and measurements, dates and appointments, medications, doctors and medical notes, documents, insurance, budget and account details, pets, and the people helping you.

Deleting the app from your device deletes this. We have no copy to restore it from, which is why the app asks you to make your own backups.

Account numbers

Where the app records a utility, bank or insurance account, it keeps only the last four digits. The full number is never stored.

Sharing a move

You can send your move to someone else as an encrypted file, or share it between your own devices. When you do:

Dictation

If you use the microphone button, your device's browser turns speech into text. On Safari this happens on the device. On Chrome and Edge the audio is sent to the browser's maker to be transcribed, exactly as your keyboard's microphone key has always done. The app tells you which applies before you press it, and every field it fills can be typed instead.

Links out

The app links to government and company websites — DMV offices, utility providers, the FMCSA mover lookup. Opening one takes you to that organization's own site, under their privacy policy, not ours. We are not told that you followed a link.

Payment

If you buy the full app, the payment is handled by our payment processor on their own systems. They receive what they need to take a payment; we receive confirmation that a code was issued. No payment details ever enter the app, which has no purchase flow of its own — codes are entered by hand and verified on your device.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone. The helper feature lets a child pack a room on a shared device without seeing the rest of the move; that information stays on the device like everything else.

Your rights

Laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to see, correct, export and delete the personal information a company holds about you. We hold none. Everything is already in your hands: the app can export the whole of it, and deleting the app deletes all of it.

Changes

If this ever changes — if a version of the app does send something to us — it will say so on this page with a new date, and the app will ask you first.
