How do I move with pets?

On moving day keep them in a closed, quiet room or with a friend — open doors and strangers are how pets get lost.

Update the microchip and their tags with your new address and phone before you go.

Get vet records and enough food and medicine for several days. For a move between states, check the new state's entry rules — some want a recent health certificate.
