When should I set up utilities and internet?

Book the internet install two to three weeks ahead — it's usually the slowest.

Turn the old place off the day after you leave, and the new place on the day before you arrive, so you're never in the dark or paying twice for long.

Write down the meter readings and photograph them on the last day.
